Who we are
AEM-UK Ltd (company no. 16918199, registered in England and Wales) is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at info@aemuk.com.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number when you contact us.
- The content of messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, including photos, documents and voice notes.
- Message metadata such as time sent and delivery status.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking.
How we use it
To reply to you, provide and manage our services, and keep business records. Where you message us on WhatsApp, we may process messages automatically, for example to log them or create tasks in our business tools. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
We rely on our legitimate interest in running our business, on performing a contract with you, and on legal obligations such as keeping financial records.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us operate, under their own data protection terms:
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform), for WhatsApp messages.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and our message processing.
- Apple (iCloud Mail), for email.
- Business software we use to manage work, such as task and accounting tools.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or our work for you, then deleted within 12 months. Financial records are kept for 6 years, as required by law.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email info@aemuk.com and we will respond within one month.
Deleting your data
To have your messages and contact details deleted, email info@aemuk.com with the phone number or email address you used. We will confirm once it is done. Records we must keep by law are retained until the legal period ends.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
